Pricing & Valuation

How yachts, liveaboards and charters are priced and valued in Raja Ampat and Indonesia.

What a number has to be built from

Prices in this market scatter widely because the assets are not comparable, even when the hulls look alike. One 32-metre liveaboard is a certified passenger vessel with permits, a booked season and a documented survey history. Another is a tired charter boat with expired certificates and no paper trail. Length overall tells you almost nothing.

These guides set out what a defensible figure is actually built from: saleable berths, class and certification status, documented refit evidence, remaining life on major machinery, and the transferable forward booking book. They also cover the seller side — how to value a vessel before marketing it, and what brokerage commission should buy you.

No figure published here is a quotation. Every number in a real transaction is confirmed against the specific vessel, its survey and its permits, and all quotations from this desk are made in USD.
