Why geography changes the deal
Where a vessel lies affects what it costs to inspect, what it costs to move, and what it is worth. A liveaboard already working the Dampier Strait can be viewed, trialled and handed over inside a week. The same hull laid up in a remote bay means chartering a boat to reach it, a surveyor’s travel days, and a delivery passage before it earns anything. Buyers should price that difference in from the start — it is real money, and it is negotiable.
